nepal electricity...

Electricity is one of the basic requirements of any nation. Nepal electricity services have developed a lot in the current years and the Nepal Electric Authority strive its best to provide uninterrupted electricity to almost all the parts of the country, be it rural or urban. Most of the towns and districts have electric supplies and there are only few villages in the interior and remote parts in the country, where electric supply has not reached.

Nepal electricity works on a voltage of 220 volts and a frequency of 50 MHz. Tourists, who use electronic devices with a configuration of 110 volts and 60MHz, have to use an adapter and a voltage converter in Nepal. People who did not use the adapter and the converter damaged their electronic gadgets to a great deal.

The electricity supply in Nepal is not very smooth. There is frequent load-shedding in the country. The problem of voltage fluctuations continue throughout the nation. The use of generators and inverters is very common in Nepal. Since there is no consistency in the power supply in Nepal, most of the hotels and restaurants have installed generators. All the leading companies in the country also follow the same policy to provide uninterrupted power supply.

The Nepal Electric Authority is trying hard to generate and distribute adequate power to all parts of Nepal. New plans and mechanisms are being implemented to improve and enhance the quantity and quality of power production in the country.
