A high-level team of the Embassy of Japan inspected works at under construction Upper Seti Hydropower Project situated at Byas Municipality-7 in Tanahun district.
The three-member team made an inspection of tunnel construction work as part of the Japan Government's programme to study possibility of upgradation under the technical assistance of JICA.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority, the inspection found that the hydropower project is appropriate from economic, social, environment and technical point of view.
A preliminary study says Rs. 25.23 billion will require for the construction of the project, where tunnel construction is on its last leg.
