NEA director said power-cut won't exceed 14 hrs per day.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) director, Sher Singh Bhat, on Wednesday claimed that power cuts "will not exceed 14 hours a day this year" unlike what has been reported by media.
Speaking to reporters at an interaction programme in Kathmandu, Bhat also blamed the government of not being serious in implementing big hydropower projects that are in the pipeline.
According to him, those who have occupied mega projects since years are not acting seriously in kick-starting the construction works of such projects.
However, Bhat said the nation would be able to produce some 1100 MW of electricity by 2013 so that "Nepal will not suffer from excessive power cut".
